Rise of the premium brand
Verstiuk Production, an “animated explainer” video agency, needed help in developing the company’s visual side. While they have already gained ample recognition in this sector working on other people’s products, they decided they wanted expert guidance on picking the right visual direction for their own brand. The better their brand identity, the greater their chance of creating premium promotional content for established B2B companies, promising start-ups, and influential marketing professionals.
Simplicity is key
Verstiuk approached us seeking a way to differentiate themselves and elevate the brand above the crowded freelance market. Despite an already impressive and still growing portfolio of premium cases, they needed support in developing the right business strategy. After a few rounds of brainstorming and market research, we came up with a visual direction and the brand strategy that tied in perfectly with the core idea of company. The trick was keeping things clear and simple – a key trait in the videos the company produces. Hence “complex simplicity” was selected for the driving brand idea.
This driving idea shows throughout the branded material but more so in the redesigned logo itself. The logo is inspired by a single pixel as if to underline that everything starts with a simple shape / idea / point. The same goes for the color palette that helps bring out the simplicity of a geometry-based font, underlining the visual identity’s subtle elegance.
After a thorough brand analysis, we went about producing all the other required marketing collaterals personalized to fit Verstiuk’s new mission and vision. Our main objective was to present the brand as unique and professional so that key business clients would regularly turn to them as their go-to agency on complex and challenging projects that required video visualizations.
